Carol joined Western's Pastoral Staff in Fall 2005. She attended Austin Theological Seminary where she was both a leader in the student body and excelled academically. While at Austin, she was the student assistant to the seminary's President and a teaching assistant in both Reformed Theology and Church History. She also served as Director of Evangelism and New Member Development at University Presbyterian Church in Austin, and recently relocated from Barrington, Rhode Island. More...
Tom grew up in the Washington D.C. area. His musical training is extensive. Besides working at Western, he is director of two of Washington's finest choral groups: the National Men's Chorus and the New Dominion Chorale. A graduate of Harvard University, Tom is a well-known composer whose works are performed nation-wide.
Debbie provides leadership for our growing Christian education program. She works closely with the Christian Education committee, staff, teachers and parents to insure a smooth operation. Debbie is currently finishing a Masters degree at Union Seminary/Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, VA. When completed, she plans on beginning a Masters of Divinity degree which will lead to ordination. She lives in Maryland with her family and is an elder at Idlywood Presbyterian Church.
Shenella is the glue who holds our church life together. Her ministry at Western has enabled us to grow and yet remain an intimate family of faith. She and her husband Rick live in Prince Georges County where they are active church members.
Gaston has worked at Western for almost fifty years. He makes sure that the building is well maintained. He is the friendly person who greets everyone in the parking garage on Sunday mornings. He is a resident of D.C. but maintains strong connections to Madison County, Virginia where he grew up.
Nancy maintains the books for Western, Miriam's Kitchen, the Ethiopia Clinic project and Project Create. She joined Western back in the mid-1980's and lives in Northern Virginia.
Ana keeps the church spotless. Originally from El Salvador, she is now a resident of D.C.
