Community

In a city where so many people come and go, Western strives to be a spiritual home to its members. We create numerous activities that allow members and friends to deepen their friendships, including:

• The coffee hour after worship usually fills the Courtyard Room to the overflowing with members exchanging greetings
• On the first Sunday of each month, college students are taken out to lunch by one of the pastors
• Occasional dinners in the homes of members, in the exterior churchcourtyard and in the Courtyard Room
• We have numerous volunteer projects where a small group of members do some work for a community organization and socialize afterward
• Most Wednesday nights feature a prepared dinner followed by a Christian education event
• Western has an annual all-day retreat featuring classes and a catered meal
• A young adult group self-organizes activities for themselves
• And more!
